Small Bites

I am learning in life, it is not always about trying to accomplish as much as possible each day, but it is really key to work towards accomplishing little things each day, moving in the direction of completing larger tasks or goals.  Too often in life, I have found myself trying to take on too much all at once.  I then get frustrated because I try to do too much all in one shot.  This also leads me to procrastination and burn-out.  Instead of attempting to eat the elephant in one sitting, which by the way, WON’T HAPPEN, I am learning to take small bites over an extended period of time.  The result?  The elephant eventually gets eaten.  The task eventually gets accomplished.  The goal eventually is attained.  I avoid procrastination along with burn-out.  I get to enjoy the process in which I am endeavoring.  I am more apt to learn along the way, and keep my health as well.  It is important for me to stay focused on what I need to do.  NOT, what everyone else is doing or not doing.  It just doesn’t matter at the end of the day.  It is also important for me to stay in my lane, to run my own race at MY pace.  The world will always try to push, persuade, and pressure us into a certain direction.  People will always want us to do things their way, or, try to convince us to do it differently.  To do more.  To be more.  To move faster.  No thanks.  I know who I am.  I know what I need to do.  I now who I want to become.  I know my strengths, I am learning my weaknesses.  I know what pace I need to maintain in my life in order to accomplish what I want to accomplish.  I am learning all of this.  Learning as I go, learning as I live.  It’s fun.  It’s exciting.  I am thankful!
