Be the Person

No one has life figured out.  No one has all the answers.  Those who would like you to believe they know something you don’t, are full of crap.  Those who paint the picture of an “all together” life, struggle as much, if not more, probably  more, than you.  I don’t care who you are, where you are from, how much money you do or don’t have, not a single person is immune to life’s difficulties, pains, frustrations, questions, and searchings.  All of us are mere projects.  Works in progress.  We are all failures.  We all fall short.  None of us have all the answers.  None of us have life figured out.  We all have fears.  We all have anxieties.  We all have insecurities.  We all wonder.  With all of our differences, we are all quite similar.  VERY similar.  We have all come from the same place, have the same origin.  Don’t get caught up in yourself.  Don’t get lost in yourself.  Blinded by yourself.  Don’t allow yourself to think you are somehow better, that you have arrived.  You aren’t better, sorry.  You haven’t arrived, sorry.  Check yourself.  You had better humble yourself.  Get over yourself.  You had better realize who you really are.  What you really are.  The sooner we realize our frailty, the sooner we move into growth.  Maturity.  Advancement.  Life is about moving forward.  Progressing.  Learning.  Failing.  Serving.  Exploring.  Expanding.  Loving.  Helping.  We have to let go, in order to grasp, in order to gain.  We have to be open, in order to see, in order to receive.  We have to be willing, in order to succeed, in order to positively impact.  We have to lose ourselves, in order to find ourselves.  Be the person who listens.  Be the person takes the time to spend with others.  Be the person who reflects.  Be the person who is self-critical, but gentle.  Be the person who is flexible, but disciplined.  Be the person who truly cares.  Be the person who is secure in who they are.  Be the person who shines.  Who brightens.  Who builds up.
