I know there are millions of kids around the world who are suffering. Hurting. Crying out. RIGHT NOW. Fatherless kids. My heart yearns to reach out. To reach out to the Fatherless. To help them. Protect them. Lead them. Teach them. Love them. God’s heart is for the Fatherless. God is a Father to the Fatherless. We are the vessels God uses to reach out, to reach out and touch lives. We get to be a part of the work. The greater cause. We cannot be consumed with ourselves. Consumed by our desires. Our plans. Our agendas. There is more. So much more. We need to open up our eyes. We need to look around and see the hurt. The pain. The desperation. We need to open up our ears. We need to listen. Listen to the voices. Listen to the cries and pleas for help, for love. This life is not about you, not about me. It’s about others. It’s about helping others. Protecting others. Loving others. Where are the Fatherless? They are next door. Up the street. Around the corner. Within our reach. We need to move. We need to take action. Time is so short.
